The Tirupati Temple, also known as the Venkateswara Temple, is located in Tirumala, a hill town in the Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh in India. 



Location

The Lord Venkateswara sits atop the Seshachalam Hills, part of the Eastern Ghats, at an elevation of about 853 meters (2,799 feet) above sea level on the seventh peak called Venkatadri.

The temple complex spans seven hills, often called the "Temple of Seven Hills," and lies roughly 150 km northwest of Chennai and 250 km from Bangalore.

Tirupati city serves as the base, about 10-20 km from the hilltop temple, with roads, ropeways, and steps for pilgrims. The site draws millions of devotees and tourists annually as one of the world's richest temples by donations.


City of Tirupati or Tirupati Town is well linked by Road, Rail and Air.

Therefore Pilgrims/devotees/tourists can opt any mode of transportation travel through any mode of transport available (Bus/Train/Flight) to reach Tirupati.

Pilgrims may also alight at Renigunta and Gudur Railway Stations and reach Tirupati by road within 30 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes of travel time respectively.
